Harold was born in Alert Bay, British Columbia and ia a member of the Kwakwaka’wakw nation. He was born into the Namgis tribe located on northeastern Vancouver Island. In addition to an extensive gold and silver jewelry line, Harold also carves wood and designs limited edition prints.

Harold has been working as an artist for approximately fifteen years. His artistic training includes jewelry courses as well as design and carving courses from accomplished Kwakwaka’wakw artists including Tony Hunt Sr.

Harold Alfred takes his art very seriously and as a result, he is producing outstanding work which has aa contemporary feel with the strong sense of the past.
